Through the integration with Twilio, you will be able to set up numbers to use with UNIVERGE BLUE® ENGAGE SMS messaging features.
FMI When setting up an SMS chat account using Twilio, you are asked to record your Account SID and AUTH TOKEN. You need these two reference codes to update your SMS Chat Settings.

To update your SMS Chat settings:
- In the UNIVERGE BLUE® ENGAGE Admin Portal, navigate to Integrations > SMS > Twilio.
- In the Account SID box, enter the Account SID code you recorded when setting up your Twilio SMS Chat account.
- In the Authentication Tokenbox, enter the AUTH TOKEN code you recorded when setting up your Twilio SMS Chat account.
- Click Update Twilio Settings and Synchronize Phone Numbers.
- All numbers set up in your SMS chat account will appear in the Existing Numbers section.
- You can now use all numbers listed here for Inbound SMS to Chat or Dynamic Notification.
FMI For Inboud SMS to Chat, you can reassign registered SMS numbers to different reply options at any time. For more information, see Manage SMS.
Important Twilio SMS Outbound Message Processing Throttling is in effect. A total of eight SMS messages can be processed concurrently. We estimate that the processing time to send a message takes less than 1 to 2 seconds. Assuming that there are more than eight requests pending from Agent queue responses and Dynamic Notification campaigns collectively, the integration with Twilio WILL continuously send message requests so that there are ALWAYS eight messages being processed at the same time to ensure the fastest possible execution of the messages.
