This article describes how to modify various settings for the UNIVERGE BLUE® CONNECT Mobile application and your account. It includes steps to access account settings, navigate the Android and iOS interfaces, and manage features such as call forwarding, voicemail, chat, contact sync, silent mode, and dark mode. Additionally, it covers sending feedback, viewing app information, and logging out.

 

 Accessing Account Settings 

To access your UNIVERGE BLUE® CONNECT Mobile app account settings:
  1. Tap your profile picture in the top left corner of the screen.
    • On Android: The Settings screen will open.
    • On iOS: A quick settings menu will pop up. 
From this place you may: 
  • Access your profile information:
    • On Android: by taping the Edit icon next to your name.
    • On iOS: by taping your name at the top.
  • Tap on your Presence status to change it. 
  • Set your status message. 
  • Access more Settings.
     

Profile Settings

In your profile settings, you can:

  • Manage your phone numbers: View and manage your phone numbers and select a Primary number.
  • View profile details: Check information like your email address, position, and department, as set by your administrator. Only your account administrator can update these details. For more information, refer to the Knowledge article for admins on Managing Voice Services Settings for Users.
  • Update your profile picture: For guidance on updating your profile picture, see the Knowledge article on Custom Profile Picture.
 
Note: All newly configured mobile devices (including users who re-logged into the Mobile app or users logging in for the first time) will have the TLS toggle enabled by default. Users would be able to disable TLS themselves if only the admin didn’t enable SRTP for a user as well.
 

Settings

In the UNIVERGE BLUE® CONNECT Mobile app settings, you may: 
  • Change push notifications settings
  • Enable logging for troubleshooting
  • Enable Transport Layer Security (TLS)
  • Switch to cellular
    Note: This option allows you to transfer any active call to your Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) phone number if the network conditions are not good enough or for other reasons. Read the Knowledge article on Options During An Active Call for more information.
  • Update e911 device location information
  • Enable native calls (late Android versions only)
    Note: If native calls are enabled, the Android system will manage calls instead of the UNIVERGE BLUE® CONNECT Mobile app. Only enable this option if Support has recommended you to do so.
  • On iOS and Android devices, there is an option to modify the ringing time and the ringtone and enable/disable vibration in Account Settings > Call settings
    • Android: to alter the ringtone navigate to Account Settings > Call Settings > Ringing > Ringtone.
    • iOS: to alter the ringtone, navigate to Account Settings > Call Settings > Ringtone and select the preferred ringtone (e.g. Party). Ensure you are using the latest version of the app and custom UNIVERGE BLUE® CONNECT ringtones are also available.
Important: 
  • If you need to change the ringing time on your extension, you may edit this in settings. Navigate to Settings > Call Settings > Ringing > Extension. Note that the current limit for ring time is 2 minutes (120 seconds).
  • In addition, if the ringing time setting is set to 61-119 seconds in Control Panel, the Internal option under Settings > Call Settings > Ringing > Extension in the UNIVERGE BLUE® CONNECT Mobile application for Android will be displayed as 1 minute. However, the call will be transferred to voicemail based on the setting value in Control Panel.
     

Call Settings

Call Forwarding Feature

The call forwarding feature allows you to forward calls to external numbers if the call was not picked up in UNIVERGE BLUE® CONNECT. 
 
To access the call forwarding feature for iOS, navigate to Settings > Settings > Call settings > Call forwarding.
 
To access the call forwarding feature for Android, navigate to Settings > Call settings > Call forwarding.
 
You will be brought to Call forwarding profiles.  
  1. Click the phone profile you want to edit.
  2. Here, you may choose the order in which phones will be ringing: Sequentially or Simultaneously.
  3. Add the number(s) to ring. You can add them manually using the Add my phone button, or you can choose from the Contacts list by clicking Forward to another contact button. It may be a contact, a hunt group or an Auto Attendant.

Voicemail

To access voicemail settings for iOS, navigate to Settings > Settings > Call settings > Voicemail.
 
To access voicemail settings for Android, navigate to Settings > Voicemail. 
 
Here, you may:
  • Change a greeting or record a custom greeting
  • Reset the Voicemail PIN
  • Enable Voicemail transcriptions
  • Set Voicemail Notifications

Chat For Android Users

Chat setting allow Android users to manage their notifications for channels and individual chats.
 
You may toggle All chat notifications or Group chat notifications on or off. 
 
You may click Clear attachments globalStorage to remove any downloaded or cached attachments from the app's storage. This will free up storage space.
 

Assistance

Sync Contacts to UNIVERGE BLUE® CONNECT

Contact Sync allows you to make all contacts accessible from this phone (e.g. Microsoft 365, Outlook, G-Suite, iCloud) also available on other mobile and desktop devices running UNIVERGE BLUE® CONNECT.
iOS:
  1. To turn on the option to sync contacts for iOS, navigate to Settings > Assistance > Sync contacts to UNIVERGE BLUE® CONNECT. 
  2. Toggle Sync contacts to UNIVERGE BLUE® CONNECT on.
Android:
  1. To turn on the option to sync contacts for Android, navigate to Settings > Sync contacts to UNIVERGE BLUE® CONNECT. 
  2. Click on the blue Allow access to contacts button.  
Note: A device on which Contact Sync is enabled becomes a Primary device - exclusive source for from mobile

Silent mode

Silent mode disables notifications related to events such as incoming calls, new messages, new voicemails, and missed calls.
 
iOS:
  1. To turn on silent mode for iOS, navigate to Settings > Assistance > Silent mode. 
  2. Toggle Enable silent mode manually or Enable silent mode by schedule on. 
    Note: The Enable silent mode by schedule option automatically enables silent mode based on time of day.
  3. You may also select events which will be silenced when Silent mode is enabled when you click the Silenced events option. 
Android:
  1. To turn on silent mode for Android, navigate to Settings > Silent mode. 
  2. Toggle Silent mode or Schedule on. 
    Note: Schedule mode automatically enables silent mode based on time of day. 
  3. You may also select events which will be silenced when silent mode is enabled when you click the Events option.

Dark Mode for Android

Android users may change the UNIVERGE BLUE® CONNECT theme to Dark mode for a more eye-friendly experience in low-light environments.

Send Feedback

The Send feedback option opens the default mail client to send us your feedback. Some information will automatically draft into the email, such as the:
  • Feedback source
  • App version
  • Device mode ID
  • System version
  • User ID
  • Account
  • Meeting module version

Note: On Android devices, if logging has been enabled, the app will suggest different options for how the user would like to send feedback, apart from mail apps.

About

Click About to view the application version and other information about the UNIVERGE BLUE® CONNECT Mobile application.

Logout

Click the red Log out button to log out of the application.
