This article describes how to manage voice user locations, including changing the main address, searching for members, adding and assigning locations, and editing or deleting location information.

Locations allow you to logically group your voice users by their physical addresses.

Overview of Location page

To manage locations:

  1. Login to Control Panel > UNIVERGE BLUE® CONNECT
  2. Switch to the Locations page on the left navigation. You will see both a list of Locations and Members.

 

How to Change Main Address

To change the main address:

  1. On the Locations page click on Main company address link.
  2. Change address
  3. Click on Save changes button. 

Alternatively, the main address may also be modified by navigating to Account menu on the top of the page, then Company information page.

Search Options

To search for specific member enter member's name in search field and click Search.

To search for all members at specific location click on All locations and select location from drop down. 

To filter members by a member type, click All members and select the type of the member.

Add a New Location

  1. Navigate to Locations > Add location
  2. The Add Location window will open. Fill in the address information into corresponding fields.
  3. Click Add location.
  4. You may see the following notification: " Your address has been auto-corrected. Please review the changes and then save the changes." You will see the  warning icon to the right of each field that was auto corrected.
  5. Review the address and click Add location again.
  6. Once location is added you need to assign members to it.

How to Assign Members to Different Location

Members can be moved from one location to another, but only if those locations are in the same country.

To assign members to a different location:

  1. Navigate to Locations. 
  2. Place a check next to the member(s) you wish to move.
  3. Click Move members to location button
  4. The new window will pop up. From the drop-down menu select location where member(s) will be moved to.
  5. Click Confirm

Note: the e911 address will not be automatically updated. It is extremely important to update the e911 address of each member to match their physical address. 

How to Edit or Delete Location

Navigate to Locations tab > click on location. 

To change address:

  1. Make changes.
  2. Click on Save changes button.
  3. You will see notification that members will be moved to new location address.
  4. Click Confirm.

Note: Country is not available for editing if at least 1 object is assigned to location.

To delete location:

  1. Click on Delete location link.
  2. Select location where members from this location should be moved to.
  3. Click Delete location and move members

It is not possible to delete location if it is Main company address or some objects are assigned to this location and there are no other locations in this country.

Note: the e911 address will not be automatically updated. It is extremely important to update the e911 address of each member to match their physical address. Read the Knowledge article on How do I update 911 address? for more information.

Note: the UNIVERGE BLUE® CONNECT Tax address location is in the location address for tax purposes.
