This article describes the procedures for managing phone numbers assigned to users, including swapping primary numbers, assigning additional numbers, and deleting phone numbers from both user accounts and the system.

Each user can have primary and additional number assigned.

To manage the user's assigned phone numbers:

  1. As an administrator, log into the Control Panel.
  2. Navigate to Service > UNIVERGE BLUE® CONNECT at the top of the screen.
  3. Select Users tab on the left navigation.
  4. Click on the name of the user, whose phone number you want to manage.
To swap a user's primary number to a different number:
  1. On the General tab, click on the Primary phone number.
  2. The Swap phone number menu will open. Select another number and click Swap.
  3. If User’s Caller ID should also be changed – do so on the Caller ID tab.
To assign additional number:
  1. On the General tab, click on the Assign phone number.
  2. The Assign phone number menu will open. Select another number and click Assign.

To delete an additional phone number from a user:

  1. On the General tab, press  next to the additional number.
  2. The phone number will remain on your account in Unassigned status. 
To delete a phone number from your account completely:
  1. As an administrator, log into the Control Panel.
  2. Navigate to Service > UNIVERGE BLUE® CONNECT at the top of the screen.
  3. Find the object that has this number assigned to. Unassign the number from the object.
  4. Select Phone Numbers tab on the left navigation. 
  5. Tick the checkbox(es) next to phone number(s) you wish to delete.
  6. Press red Delete button.

Note: Once the number is deleted, it may no longer possible to add it back to your account.
 
If you remove a user (disable Voice Services for a user):

  • Each of the user's phone numbers is unassigned and becomes available (if a number was assigned, and if you did not delete it).
  • Each of the user's devices is unassigned and becomes available.
  • The user is removed from any Hunt Groups.
  • The user is removed from any Auto Attendants that included this user for forwarding calls.
