Known Issues
- No severe issues out-of-the-box.
- These gateways don't have SIP ALG, and the SPI firewall doesn't interfere with UNIVERGE BLUE® devices.
Resolution
- Login to the gateway. The default username & password is:
- username: cusadmin
- password: highspeed
- WAN ping response to our Call Quality Monitoring and Troubleshooting Servers needs to be enabled.
- WAN Pings is enabled by default unless you or your IT disabled it.
- To enable WAN Pings > Go to Firewall > Uncheck Disable Ping on WAN Interface.
- Other Firewall settings to verify:
- Disable Gateway Smart Packet Detection: Unchecked..
- Disable Firewall for True Static IP Subnet Only: Unchecked.
- This step is only needed if you have or plan to purchase Polycom phones:
- The steps below can take your network offline for 5 minutes or longer.
- Please make sure to only do these changes at a time when you can afford to be offline.
- You will need to reboot all your phones, computers, and other devices after making the changes below.
- LAN > IP Setup tab > Check the Assign DNS Manually box > Enter:
- Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8
- Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4
- Click Apply
- Reboot all phones, computers, and other devices on the network to clear their DNS cache & reconnect.
- You may need to manually flush the DNS cache on your Windows computers using the command below from Command Prompt:
- ipconfig /flushdns
- LAN > IP Setup tab > Check the Assign DNS Manually box > Enter:
